Day-by-Day Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha 

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred 55 km (approximately 1 hour) to your lodge in Arusha. Settle in, relax, and prepare for the start of your safari adventure the following day.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park 

After breakfast, you depart for Tarangire National Park—home to the world’s highest elephant density and iconic 600-year-old baobab trees. The Tarangire River becomes a magnet for wildlife during the dry season, drawing zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators such as lions and leopards. Your game drive explores river circuits abundant with giraffes, impalas, and vibrant birdlife including kori bustards and lilac-breasted rollers. As evening falls, retire to your lodge or camp for dinner and the soothing sounds of the African night.

Day 3: Tarangire → Central Serengeti

Large herds of zebras, wildebeest, elephants, and gazelles thrive here, along with a diverse bird population. Day 4: Central Serengeti → Northern Serengeti (Mara River Zone) 

Today you head north into the most dramatic seasonal wildlife arena in Africa—the Mara River corridor. Over the next several days, you’ll be positioned at prime vantage points to witness the legendary Great Migration river crossings, where wildebeest and zebras plunge into crocodile-filled waters while predators lurk along the banks. Expect intense predator activity from lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. Your migration-focused lodge offers close proximity to river crossing points for high chances of sightings.

Day 5: Full Day in Northern Serengeti – Mara River Action 

At dawn, head out to the Mara River, when predator activity is at its peak and huge herds gather nervously at the riverbanks. Spend the full day tracking migration clusters, observing elephants roaming acacia groves and birds such as martial eagles soaring overhead. Evening game drives reveal hyenas patrolling, leopards descending from trees, and herds preparing for potential crossings. Retreat to your lodge for dinner beneath the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the Northern Serengeti wilderness.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti → Central Serengeti 

This morning offers a final chance to witness a dramatic river crossing before leaving the northern sector. Enjoy sightings of lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, hippos, and possibly the rare black rhino. In the afternoon, travel back to Central Serengeti—home to abundant wildlife year-round. After arrival, enjoy a serene evening with a gourmet dinner and the soothing ambiance of the savannah at night.

Day 7: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater 

Depart the Serengeti after an early breakfast and journey toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into this vast volcanic amphitheater, home to more than 30,000 animals including all members of the Big Five. Scan the crater floor for black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, flamingos, and great herds of zebras and wildebeest. After a full day of exploration, return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 8: Departure from Arusha
