Overview (Highlight)
The Marangu Route, famously known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the only Kilimanjaro trail that offers hut accommodations instead of tents. It is considered one of the more comfortable routes, though the summit is still challenging and requires good physical preparation. Over five days, this trail leads climbers from lush rainforest to moorland, across wide alpine deserts, and finally to the ice-capped summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895m). This climb is ideal for trekkers seeking a shorter itinerary with steady elevation gain and well-structured acclimatization.
