Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Karatu
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your guide and begin your scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of Mount Meru, rolling hills, and coffee plantations, while your guide shares cultural and historical storytelling. Once inside Tarangire, your full-day game drive begins featuring massive elephant herds, towering baobab trees, prides of lions, zebras, and diverse wildlife attracted to the Tarangire River. After a picnic lunch in the park, you continue toward the green highlands of Karatu for dinner and overnight. 3

Day 2: Karatu → Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
After breakfast, you depart Karatu and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti. The route offers scenic landscapes and wildlife sightings before arriving on the endless plains. The afternoon is spent exploring Central Serengeti, renowned for its big-cat concentrations lions, leopards, and cheetahs along with giraffes, elephants, and grazing herds. You finish the day with a memorable bush-style dinner under the Serengeti night sky before settling into your camp. 4

Day 3: Serengeti → Ndutu Region (Southern Serengeti – Calving Season)
This morning, you take a short drive to the Ndutu Region, located in Southern Serengeti right at the heart of the Great Migration calving grounds. During January–March, thousands of wildebeest give birth daily, creating spectacular scenes of new life. Your full-day game drive in Ndutu offers incredible opportunities to witness newborn calves, predator action, cheetah hunts, hyena activity, and extraordinary photo opportunities. Day 4: Ndutu → Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport
This morning you leave Ndutu and drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. After descending 600 meters into the caldera, you spend the morning exploring one of the densest wildlife habitats on Earth—home to the Big Five, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you begin your scenic journey back to Arusha or onward to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), passing rural landscapes and highland scenery along the way. 6
