The management of Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) met for two days at Lake Manyara National Park recently to review the organization’s Policy as well as its DALP (Development, Action, and Lease Procedures) and Customer Service Charter.
The meeting which was chaired by the Acting Director of Planning, Development Projects and Tourism Services, Dr. Ezekiel Dembe was meant to enable TANAPA to cope with various changes that occurred during fifty years of its existence.
“TANAPA was established over fifty years ago whereby a number of policies in the country have also been established, we therefore need to adjust ours so as to cope with those and thereby avoid unnecessary collisions”, said Dr. Dembe during the opening of the meeting.
The meeting which comprised of all the Directors, Managers and Chief Park Wardens also had a detailed discussion on improving the organization DALP document as there was a need that TANAPA now benefit from the investment process in the parks. The charter will help TANAPA to improve its services to all its customers including staff.
