HOW MUSIC CAN PROMOTE DOMESTIC TOURISM
Since the inauguration of the ‘Leka Dutigite’ song by famous musicians from Kigoma ( Kigoma All Stars), Gombe National Park has been receiving many local tourists from the neighboring regions of Geita , Mwanza and Shinyanga. However, more inquiries asking on how to get to Gombe have been received.
Inauguration of ‘Leka dutigite’ song was sponsored by the Member of Parliament for Kigoma North Constituency in collaboration with TANAPA. Since its inauguration, many local tourists have been flocking to Gombe including but not limited to Government institutions such as Teachers and other staff from Nsumba and Bwiru High Schools of Mwanza Municipality, Councilors and Teachers from Bukombe District Council, Bankers of NBC and Exim Banks, Staff of Tanzania Breweries Company from Mwanza and Shinyanga, Cultural troupes from Kigoma and Gospel singers from Mwanza, among others.
