All 45 members of the group of celebrities and professionals who are in the campaign on the Global Clean Water Crisis – Summit on the Summit made it to the top of the African highest Mountain – Kilimanjaro.
INTENSIVE EDUCATION WILL CURB THE WILDFIRE PROBLEMS IN THE NATIONAL PARKS
Tanzania National Parks has been urged to offer more environmental education to the societies living at the slopes of Mount Meru as a deliberate move to avoid wild fire which in the past month has destroyed more than 600 acres of such forests in the area.

Tanzania National Parks wishes to inform the public that CRDB Bank Limited has completed the implementation of Card Payments System at Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks.
The exercise that involved installation of VSAT dishes, Point of Sale devices and training of TANAPA Cashiers and Accountants had reported excellent results.
By this notice; public, tourists and tour operators are now informed that Point of Sale Payments is doneat all the respective gates involved in phase II roll out. Also the public is being informed that CRDB Bank’s extension of services had been made on point of sale terminals at Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks.

Electronic payment at park gates
With effect from 1st October, 2007 Tanzania National Parks started using electronic payment systems at its revenue collection centres in parallel run with the old system.
Phase I of this system has covered Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Kilimanjaro and Arusha National Parks through CRDB and EXIM Banks who designed the systems.
